Working from my studio in Ontario, Canada, I primarily create with oils on stretched canvas.  I am available for commissions.

My art practice is influenced by still life, both realistic and abstracted, as well as high contrast florals. My area of focus is to capture the drama or essence of a subject using tone and colour.  

 

From small sketches to larger scale work, my compositions remain highly influenced by my desire to move my work forward. 

 

I am continually fascinated by editing choices made while building a painting or piece of work.  Building layers or leaving things spare, where to take the eye, what will pop and what will fade; these are the questions that bring me back to my work everyday.
